Social Networking can be a very useful strategy to promote your blog. How did you get to where you are today? Through who you know! 1. Comment on peoples blogs The best way to to get to know other bloggers is to participate in the discussion on their blog. Many bloggers even reward top commentators with links as incentive to participate. Make intelligent comments, and people will click through to check you out. This is a great way to gain new readers and network at the same time. Be careful not to be spammy or you will build a negative reputation. 2. Use Digg, Reddit or similar site
Create content that you think would be well recieved on digg. Typical content that does well:
What not to do: Don't spam these sites! Submit only quality, original content. Do not use your Blog as a middleman. If the content is on another blog, link to that blog, if the video is on youtube, link directly. The easiest way to get your blog marked as spam is to use your blog as a third party. This can lead to you being banned form these sites. Do not submit every blog post to these sites, only submit your best stuff.
